Ten found guilty of cyber-bullying targeting Brigitte Macron

A French judicial body has ruled against ten people for carrying out the online harassment of Brigitte Macron, the wife of France's leader, Emmanuel Macron.

The those on trial faced charges of disseminating fabrications regarding her sex and sexual orientation, in addition to making malicious remarks about the couple's age disparity of 24 years.

This recent ruling in France is concurrent with the Macrons pursuing a legal action for defamation in the United States of America against conservative commentator Candace Owens, who has repeatedly shared similar conspiracy theories about the French president's wife's identity.

Their lawsuit contends that Owens ignored any factual proof that refuted her assertions in favour of give a platform to established defamers.

Owens has often echoed these allegations on her digital program and online platforms, and in March 2024 declared that she would risk all her credibility on her conviction that Mrs. Macron was born a man.

Brigitte Macron originally became acquainted with her now-husband when she taught at his high school.

The two entered into matrimony in 2007, when the then-29-year-old Emmanuel Macron was 29 and she was approximately 54 years old.
